Site shutdown

May 18, 2015 by peterpj   Comments (0)

Christ is Risen!
Hi all,
Sorry to say it but the site will be shutting down on June 1st. I have been the admin here since June 2011, so it'll be 4 years of taking care of the administration of the site and paying the bills. I tried to find a new Admin and I offered for others to take over, but unfortunately no one is both willing and able and I just don't have time to make the improvements to the site that you all deserve.
I'm hopeful that someone else will move in to fill the gap this... Read full post

News and Updates About Administration

March 2, 2015 by ajmartin   Comments (12)

So Peter has added me as an administrator to revamp the site. I've looked over the control panel.
Right now, I'm going to leave the blogs on, because that seems to be the center of the OCD community, and also because it seems the best way to give you guys updates. Eventually I want to remove the social media aspect of the site, but for now I'm going to leave it.
The first thing I want to do is find a way to hide users who don't have pictures in their profiles. If I can't hide them, then I'll... Read full post

What the hell has happened to this site?!?

February 23, 2015 by ajmartin   Comments (16)

I used to visit here regularly. Dating as an EOC is difficult, after all. But now I stop in once every few weeks on the gamble that there might be something. Why? Because just as OCD was beginning to get really good, the whole thing has gone downhill due to systemic issues. And what easy things can be done to fix it?
1) It's been taken over by spammers.
Click on the new members button. Notice that the large majority of people on this site don't have a picture. Yeah, they're clearly spammers.... Read full post

Elder Porphyrios officially recognized as Saint

November 27, 2013 by peterpj   Comments (6)

The news was released today and I wanted to share
Having read "Wounded By Love" and his life and other of his writings I can't wait for them to be republished now as being by "St. Porphyrios" :)
For me, he is the one Saint I know of who was alive in the body during my life time - though I'm sure Elder Paisios will follow him soon in being recognized as a Saint of our Church :)
