News and Updates About Administration

March 2, 2015 by ajmartin   Comments (12)

So Peter has added me as an administrator to revamp the site. I've looked over the control panel.
Right now, I'm going to leave the blogs on, because that seems to be the center of the OCD community, and also because it seems the best way to give you guys updates. Eventually I want to remove the social media aspect of the site, but for now I'm going to leave it.
The first thing I want to do is find a way to hide users who don't have pictures in their profiles. If I can't hide them, then I'll... Read full post

What the hell has happened to this site?!?

February 23, 2015 by ajmartin   Comments (16)

I used to visit here regularly. Dating as an EOC is difficult, after all. But now I stop in once every few weeks on the gamble that there might be something. Why? 1) It's been taken over by spammers.
Click on the new members button. Notice that the large majority of people on this site don't have a picture. Yeah, they're clearly spammers.... Read full post

November 27, 2013 by peterpj   Comments (5)

The news was released today and I wanted to share
Having read "Wounded By Love" and his life and other of his writings I can't wait for them to be republished now as being by "St. Porphyrios" :)
For me, he is the one Saint I know of who was alive in the body during my life time - though I'm sure Elder Paisios will follow him soon in being recognized as a Saint of our Church :)

Hello everyone. I am a graduate student that is closing out a MS in Instructional Technology program. My capstone project will be focusing on the induction/catechism process of Orthodoxy.

If you have a few minutes, please participate in this completely anonymous survey. It will greatly assist with the cause. Your participation is by no means mandatory, but would naturally be appreciated and very helpful. Thank you.

As an instructional designer, and someone that has been part of many different parishes across the country, I have discovered a need in the Orthodox faith. Our induction/catechism process is not as good as some others.

I will be designing an developing an improved method as a capstone project. To that end, would you be willing to share with me some of the experiences that you had that you think is very effective? In addition, what do you think can be improved on or added, and why?... Read full post
